What to do if your child is ill

Please keep him/her at home until fully recovered. However, for everyone’s peace of mind and so that school and home know where your child is at all times, please inform us, preferably before 9:00 am but certainly before 9:30 am of their absence for whatever reason.

If we do not hear from you, we will contact you to ascertain the reason. If we are not informed of the reason for your child’s absence this will be recorded as an ‘unauthorised’ absence on their record. If your child’s attendance falls below 90% you will be invited to school to discuss the matter. Continued absence will be referred to the Education Welfare Officer.

N.B. Parents are encouraged to make all health appointments outside of school hours.
